Article writing is key when it comes to generating traffic for your website. Generating traffic to your website is key to making money. But how do you write a good article?

There are several things you need to keep in mind when writing your articles.

1) Before you even start, make sure that what you are trying to promote is worth promoting otherwise, you're just wasting your time.

2) Keep your articles short, 350 to 500 words are generally all you need.

3) Make sure that the information that you are giving out is useful.

4) When writing your articles, remember that time is money. Don't think about what you are going to write, just start writing.

5) If you don't know what to write about, spend a little time researching. Go to an article service (like this one for example) and punch in your keywords, read several article on your subject then rewrite the articles in your own words to make them your own.

6) Make sure that every article you submit is unique. If you use an article submitter*, make sure that as you submit the article to each of the directories, you change it to read a little differently each time (Google hates duplicate content).

7) Try to churn out at least 50 articles a week to start. If you use an article submitter*, you'll be able to increase that amount to thousands!

8) You cannot sit there 4 or 5 hours writing one article and expect to drive traffic to your website. You need to try to work yourself up to 5 atricles an hours (I said work your way up to, you'll get the hang of it!)

Just remember that even the complete beginner can make more money than some of the so-called "Internet Guru's" if you are willing to put in the time and effort. You don't have to be perfect but if you can churn out articles containing information that people want, you will be successful.
