Article Marketing - When to Market Your Online Business With Articles

All those articles can be written in a few minutes a day. You may think it takes hours, but I've created 12 articles in about thirty minutes, and most of them are publishable in some format. A few of the articles are simply ideas I've written in article format, that I'll use eventually to create ebooks. But most of these are articles I'll publish in the next few days.

1. FREQUENTLY

Publish at least five articles a week, but if you desire to increase your income, that number should be 25 or more. The number of articles you publish and the number of times you publish them will directly correlate to the increase in income. There's a difference in increasing and maintaining income. As you build your business, you must post more articles.

2. Day, Night, Any Time

It doesn't matter so much what time of day you publish them as it does time of week you publish. Some publishers prefer to put their ezines out early in the week, or at least begin selecting articles on dry days for later publication. If your articles are there and ready to go on Monday, they'll be in many publications by Friday.

3. Seasonal Marketing

Holiday Marketing offers inspired ideas and concepts that can take your business far, but don't forget the holidays that don't come at Christmas and Thanksgiving. President's Day Sales are popular in the real world, why not offer a great buy for patriots in your business too? Present a Romantic Twist for Valentine's day, and don't forget Easter. Celebrate Salvation with an opportunity to share your testimonials. Or strike a note for Independence on July 4th, what better day to remember Financial Freedom?

Four Key Strategies to Marketing on a Shoestring

Even if you have a ton of money to pay for advertising, there are four key strategies to marketing on a shoestring that will in the long run that will build your brand and create links that will ultimately be far more effective than any paid advertising that you may do. In fact, paid advertising is typically only effective while you are using it and after the money has run out, you are back to square one. If you use these strategies, however, the effect is long lasting and provides a solid basis for a real internet business. The four strategies are:

1:List building. You have always heard that the money is in your list and this is a time proven method of business building. You will need a good opt-in page and a good autoresponder. For an opt-in page, you have several options. You can find free ones on the net just by doing a Google search, you can easily build your own or some of the better business opportunities will have a built-in opt-in page. The other thing that you need is a good autoresponder an this is one area that spending a little money will save you a ton of heartache. You can get a top of the line autoresponder for less than $20 a month and be assured that you will have a near 100% delivery rate. With the free or cheap ones, you will get what you pay for.

2.Article Marketing. The internet has a voracious appetite for fresh content. Ezines, newsletters, websites and blogs are always looking for fresh content. In article marketing, you write a simple content rich article that people can use and you will find you name being spread all over the internet. Make sure that you adhere to the article directories policies and don't ever try to advertise in an article. If your article is interesting, the reader may click on your signature information and this is what links to your business offering. This is probably the single best method of free marketing. Not only does it build your reputation as an expert in the field but, it also produces links back to your website or blog.

3. Forum Marketing. No matter what your niche is there is a forum that is dedicated to it. It doesn't matter if it is internet marketing or dog grooming, there is a community of like minded individuals who want to hear what you have to say. Typically, unless specifically allowed, you should not try to advertise in your posts. Let your signature do your advertising. If you can help someone answer a question and your comment is information rich, they will click on your signature for more information about you. There is a land-mine to watch out for. If your comment is not valid, contains misinformation or is overtly commercial, you can destroy your reputation just as fast as you can build it.

4.Blogging. Not only do you want your own blog but, you also want to comment on other peoples blogs. Just remember to treat this just the same as you would Forum Marketing. On your own blog, you can, of course, directly advertise but people came to your blog for information and not simply to hear a sales pitch. Let your links do your advertising for you and make sure that your blog is content rich. If you can help your reader become successful, they will also help you to also become a success. Wordpress has recently prohibited blogs that are for the purpose of affiliate marketing. However, you can still use Wordpress on your own site and there are also a number of companies offering your own blog with free hosting. Just Google "free blog hosting". Make sure you read the Terms of Service (TOS) before signing on to one of these free hosts.

Although these methods will not have the sudden impact that PPC ads have, they will have long lasting results that will build a solid business base for you.

There's Value in Link Building for Businesses

With the search engines becoming more discerning every day in their efforts to ferret out purchased links vs. reciprocal links and valuable links vs. random links, the value of links for online businesses is still being questioned. The simple fact remains the same - there is no other tool that offers more ways to get your site noticed on the Internet than good links. That being said, link building is obviously still an incredibly valuable tool that isn't going to fade into the background any time soon.

Links increase ranking. Link building affects where you fall in search engine rankings. Yes, it depends on how good those links are and whether they are reciprocal links, one-way links and dozens of other variations on the theme, but the net result is the same. If others are linking to you, the search engines will sit up and take notice.

Links increase business credibility. If no one else in your industry is linked to you, potential customers will wonder why; conversely, if they keep seeing links to your site on other industry sites they will notice and assume that you must be "somebody." They may follow the link now or later, or they may simply file the information away for future reference, but the name and the credibility will stick.

See increased traffic. Link building leads to traffic, pure and simple, particularly if you have built links from relevant websites. Not all of this traffic will turn into business, but remember that increased traffic will also move you up in the rankings, and better rankings will turn into more business. Are you beginning to see how there's a circular but beneficial pattern to link building?

Of course, you do want to approach a link building campaign with a sound business plan. Some links will be a tremendous asset while others can actually damage your reputation and move you down in the search engine rankings. Be aware of what types of links you should be focusing on for the best value for you business.

Be selective. One of the most common mistakes made is to quickly buy up links in inexpensive, poorly designed directories that will list any and all websites. Search engines recognize these directories, and websites that are listed in these are often penalized. Look for directories that are difficult to get into and strive to meet their criteria; it will be worth it in the long run.

Be selective on your end as well. Take the directory for a test drive. Do all of the links go to active sites? Are the sites well maintained, current and informative? Or are there inactive sites and broken links? What about links to sites that are pornographic or in questionable taste? If the directory features links to websites you would be embarrassed to be associated with, don't pay to list with them.

Be specific, not general. Look for directories that are industry-specific. If you are in the banking industry, be sure to find directories that are specifically focused on banking and money markets. If you are an artist, there are directories for galleries, art studios and other artists that would be of interest.

Content rich sites are great. When linking to other websites, look for sites that have lots of content in the form of articles, how-to's and even surveys. Whenever a link to your site can be embedded within content rather than simply pasted in a "Links" page, it will improve the status of the link. Search engines love links that are integral to content. If you want a link to a great site, offer to provide them some content they could use on their site and include your link in it. Sites are always looking for fresh content.

As you can see, link building can add plenty to the success of your business, so be sure to put some time into constructive linking strategies for your website every week.

Profitable Article Marketing - 6 Intelligent Techniques Towards an Impacting Article Marketing

Article marketing is an effective and profitable marketing tool that a lot of businessmen are indulging into in this age of modern technology. The impact that article marketing has on the business is massive and immense. For this reason, a more competitive and edgy techniques on how to do article marketing are being designed and developed. Below are some these:

1. Think about how you can create a strong title. The title best speaks about the totality of your article material. People most often rely on reading the title first prior to actually browsing the entirety of the whole article.

2. Talk about your advertisement subtly on the article content. The content of the article should not be an avenue for you to hard sell or advertise your products. However, you can subtly incorporate your marketing bylines but do not make it too obvious.

3. Break into pieces the several parts of your article. You can devote a portion of the article to introduce an idea and other parts to expound the details of your article topic.

4. Be simple with the choice of words that you use on your material. The reason why you are propagating an article is because you would like to educate and inform people. You can only attain these when you are able to make your message understood.

5. Always check your work for any error. You would not want to jeopardize your integrity, credibility, and your whole image as an article writer by committing unchecked mistakes due to negligence.

6. Make use of the allotted resource box to make an advertisement. This is the allotted portion for you to make full advertisement of your product. This is also the area where you can make yourself known to your readers by supplying your name and other identifying elements.

Article Marketing Secrets - How to Get Your Information in Front of as Many Eyes as Possible

Would you like to get your information in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible? Then article marketing is for you.

You need to think of how your article can be repurposed into a variety of consumable forms.

Your article as text

Write your article and then submit it to the article directories. First go deep on EzineArticles. Second go wide by submitting your articles to other popular article directories. Third submit your article to niche article directories. And finally submit your articles to your own article directories.

Your article as audio

Then you can repurpose your article content into audio. One way is to simply read and talk about your article, record it and create CDs. My favorite way though to repurpose my article content into audio content is with teleseminars. Conduct a teleseminar and record it and then you can turn that recording into audio CDs, podcasts, mp3, etc.

Then building out the other side you can have that recording transcribed and then repurpose the transcription into more text articles. In this way, as my colleague and friend Alex Mandossian says, you can "write with your mouth and not with your hands."

Your article as video

When you take your article content and repurpose it into video and then put that video on You Tube, you now have links coming back to your web site from the second highest ranked web site in the world. All you have to do is video yourself taking about your article, make and explain a few points, and there is your video.

And this is just a slice of how you can get your articles in front of as many eyes as possible in as many consumable forms as possible.

A Practical Approach To Creating And Growing An Online Business

There is an incredible amount of hype about how to make money online. It can be very distracting and you can easily fall into the information overload trap and spend too much time and money learning how best to do business online. So how do you beat this trap especially if you are new to online business or web marketing? Woulden't it be good if there was an easy, practical and systematic way to think about how best to do business online?

As a Web Architect I have grappled with this problem many times and I have found that there is one simple way to look at doing business online that really helps me to focus in on what is important for my business. The key is to look at your online business as a set of processes that need to be structured correctly in order for your business to be profitable. This has two immediate benefits:

  • first it gives you a way to think about your business, and
  • second it acts as blueprint or checklist of what you need to focus in on to be profitable

I use a six process model when setting up an online business. Examples of these processes are Acquire Products and Website Promotion. With this model I can be sure that there is nothing major that I have left out and I can then focus on the processes that add the most value to my business.

Another important aspect of this approach is measurement. As a business owner you need to know how your business is performing so you will put in place ways to measure how each of your processes is performing. For example lets say that you use Google Analytics or Statcounter to measure the number of visitors to your website. If you are not getting the amount of qualified traffic you need to make a profit then you need to focus in on the Website Promotion process. This may mean that you re-evaluate the keywords you are using or that you need to look at alternative ways to promote your business and so on.

I hope that this short article has given you a flavour of how a simple way of thinking about your business can help you to improve it. I have coined the term Web Business Architecture to describe this approach because what you are really doing is architecting your web business for success.

One is the Loneliest Keyword Number

suppose you are selling leather date book organizers and you target the word "organizers." There is no way for a searcher to determine if your site has information of interest to someone looking for a "leather organizer" for important papers, a "closet organizer" for a neater home, or a "wedding organizer" to orchestrate that big event. In this case, it is essential that you add a second word to clarify the meaning of "organizer" as it would apply to your site.

Another problem with single word searches is their attainability. Even if a single keyword is what you really want, you may not be able to attain a search engine ranking on it. While it would be nice to be positioned well on a single extremely broad keyword, you might better use your time to pair the keyword with something more specific. More specific keywords have the added advantage of ensuring that your prospects are more qualified. You do not want to disappoint searchers who visit your site in the search of a wedding organizer.

Another example: A search on "software" at almost any search engine will return over a billion documents. The sites at the top of the list are there because of an array of factors, some of which are beyond your control, such as Google's PageRank algorithm that uses link popularity in its rating. It's highly unlikely that your smaller software company could displace Microsoft or another software giant for a first place ranking. Their sites are too popular and have too many links to them to be ousted by a smaller, less well-know software firm. Instead of fighting a losing batter, you should search for a combination term that clearly describes your site and yet returns few enough sites to give you a fighting chance at getting a top ranking.

The bottom line: Do not waste your time fighting for a hard-to-get keyword, unless you are a major player with a powerful brand that dominates your industry. Some keywords will be highly competitive, and you may have to work hard to achieve a top 10 slot. If you find that after all your hard work, you still can not make it into that top 10, just keep working on your other keywords. There are so many other keywords and combinations where your site can achieve a top 10 ranking that you will find that it's not very difficult at all to develop strong traffic from those rankings.

Identify a niche or pocket of keywords that clearly describe your work and that few others are targeting. Then, go after them! Remember, successful SEO requires persistence and perseverance.

Amazing Article Marketing - 3 Noted Effective Methods to a Better Article Marketing

Writing articles to market your products and services is one great, cost-effective method. Although there are other equally cost-effective marketing instruments that one can use to promote an idea or a service, article marketing remains to be the top most trusted marketing medium in the internet today. This is the reason why a continued patronage is being extended to it by the majority of the business people. In addition, newer and bolder methods are being developed to further enhance the capacity of this marketing tool to persuade and goad other people. Below are some these methods:

1. Prepare the message that you wish to convey. This is commonly the article that you need to create. You need to make sure that the articles are very well made and crafted. The topics should foster interest and appeal to the targeted readers/clients. In addition, you also need to ensure that they are free from any form of incorrectness and flaws.

2. Choose the article directories where you will have your articles submitted. There are various sites that allow for a free publication of your articles. Since generally of these sites are welcoming the submission and publication for free, all you need to do is to make sure that the articles being submitted for publication pass the standards set forth by these publication sites. Make sure that they are of high quality and do not contain any substandard contents.

3. Monitor how each article submitted and published is playing on the site. Track how these articles are making an impact to your business. Be a proactive player. Make sure that plans are made to combat potential failure on each plan that you have. Although it is advised that you give your articles some time to be able to pick up, make sure that you do not wait too long to take an action when you feel that your copies are of not reaping good results.

How to Make Your Article Viral With Directories

If you're an online business owner or manager, you have probably heard a bit about article marketing and directories. However, many people aren't aware of the different benefits that come with directories. It is quite possible to make your article viral with directories, and this article will outline how to do that as well as the benefits of article marketing.

When you are thinking of submitting your articles to directories, you should know that there are millions of people who read articles in directories every month. For this reason, it is very important for the article to meet specific guidelines and standards. The first and most important requirement for a great article to become viral is originality. The article should also be quality and keyword-rich. Search engine optimization is very important for your article marketing campaign to be effective. The proper keyword density is around 3 to 5%, or around five to six times within a 550-word article. Adding more keywords than this will simply be considered 'spam' by the search engines and you can likely be penalized as far as your search engine ranking.

Another thing you want to consider is how the article prepares the readers to visit your page and purchase a product or service. This is very important, as the reader should be left wanting more and ready to purchase. A great freelance writer or ghostwriter can help immensely with this. Because they are experienced in writing for the customers, the good ones know how to pull this off successfully. You can easily get a great writer to handle your articles for you if you don't have a lot of time. Many of them are very familiar with article marketing campaigns. Should you decide that you want to write your own article, the tips below can help you with the different directories.

There are several directories that you can use in order to drive traffic to your site and make your article viral. One of them, and perhaps the most popular, is www.ezinearticles.com. When you submit your article to Ezine Articles, you will be considered for publishing, and then when you do get published, you will have a byline that accompanies your article. This byline can include a link to your website, allowing readers to click right through to your website. The trick is to sell them subtly, without presenting sales articles or hype to the readers.

Another directory is www.associatedcontent.com. This one works much like Ezine Articles, but with Associated Content, you earn money either upfront for your article, or through the page views on your article. Of course, it's not enough money to make a living, so don't count on that, but it can be a valuable directory providing that you have great SEO within your articles. There are many other things you can do to make your articles viral with directories, but these are the most important and common tricks. Utilize them to be successful today!

Amazing Article Marketing - Revealed - 4 Phenomenal Ways to Explode Your Article Marketing

What they say is true: the success of your article marketing campaign relies on the content of your articles. If you are able to provide your readers with information that they will find useful, entertaining, and worth reading, you will not only be able to establish your credibility online but most importantly, you will generate more inbound links as you can be assured that your articles will be picked up and widely republished.

1. Consider your target market. Get to know the people to whom you are writing for before you write your articles. Identify their age, economic status, online behavior, level of comprehension, their needs, demands, and pressing issues. Knowing these can help you customize your content so they will be focused and targeted to the needs of your potential clients.

2. Make your articles scannable. People can easily get thrown when presented with lengthy article that doesn't contain page breaks. They prefer articles that contain subheadings, bullet points, or numbered lists as they are easy on the eyes and easier to skim through.

3. Write more. Never be contented with the number of your articles online. Strive to write more to give your website more traffic and more inbound links. If you are running out of topic ideas, I suggest you visit related forums or article submission sites. You can also subscribe to the RSS feeds of bloggers or webmasters who are writing for your target niche.

4. Pack your articles with valuable information. The fastest way to lose your potential clients is to present them with articles that are filled with fillers and nonsense data. To keep you readers interested, make sure that your content offers the kind of information they need. Something that they will consider truly useful and valuable.

Increase Website Traffic - Get a Website Traffic Increase With Article Marketing

Are you looking for a way to create lasting targeted traffic that will convert into sales? Do you want to build a funnel of traffic to your website, blog, or affiliate links? There is one great way to increase website traffic that is easy and free. You can get a website traffic increase with article marketing by following the steps below.

Start with step one, which is to pick your niche. This can be anything you want, but the best choices are always things that you know something about and have a passion for. After you choose your niche you need to figure out what you are going to write about. You should also set a goal for how many articles you are going to write each week.

The second step is to start writing. You should write and submit one article at a time. It is best to start with 2 or 3 of the top article directories (Ezine Articles, Search Warp, and Go Articles), then after you have wrote and submitted a few articles you can take one and submit it all over the web to every single free article directory you can find.

The last step is to write some more. You will never get the increase in website traffic that you are after if you just write a few articles. You need to be submitting new articles on a regular basis. Articles have a life cycle that starts with a good amount of views and traffic for you right off the bat, then they fall in the directories and your traffic will come slower, but from time to time you will get website traffic increases from newsletters and other sites using your articles.

The article writing and marketing game is not a hard one to play. You will see a real website traffic increase in about a month or two of writing and you will see an increase in website traffic right off the bat when you submit your articles. The best part is articles never go anywhere and the longer they are out there the better chance they will spread across the web and increase your website traffic even more.

Online Article Submission Sites and Editor Choice Strategies Considered

It appears to that there are some professional writers who wish to have the online article submission sites that the post on upgraded and to only list extremely well-written articles. They would at very least request that they receive a preference so their articles are not lost in the masses of all the articles submitted.

Why do they request this? Because it will help their article marketing efforts and they feel they are much better writers and their articles have much more worthy information in them. Their hopes are to get their information displayed in such a way to help the reader find them over all the others.

Of course we know that people come in from the Google, MSN, Yahoo search engines directly to the article and that these search engines spider sites like this constantly. So in reality all articles whether they are marked "Excellent" or Editor's Choice in the end will be seen fairly equally as the reader clicks into the site.

A few expert authors have made comments that better articles might be available for browsing the list and reiterated the concept of "Editor's Choice" a concept which has been bantered about for almost a year now at the top online article submission site. It appears that many others online article authors like this idea?

For me personally as a reader and seeker of information, I know when I find a great article with good content, I look up the author and read all their articles on the subjects I am interested in learning about at that time and surf their various websites too, so all that makes sense to "me" personally, although others might disagree.

A software system with Artificial Intelligence that might be able to pick out great articles is intriguing because it could go thru all the 580,000 articles on let's say the top online article submission that are already posted and put a "star" or something by them to help readers more easily find them.

Article Marketing - How To Write A Good Article

Article marketing is not about writing excellent articles. It's about writing good articles. Articles that will intrigue your reader and give them valuable information. This is the art of article marketing. You need to learn that your articles don't have to be works of art in order to become successful.

If you want to write a good article, just stop thinking. Write. Just write. Don't stop and think. Just write. The more that you write, the better you'll become. That's all there is to writing a good article. Don't listen to all the hype telling you how to write your article step by step. This is a waste of time! Just start writing. Your not going to get any better reading a bunch of ebooks telling you how to create the perfect article. This is rubbish! Articles are not suppose to be perfect!

Your article should be made with you own technique. When people read your article, they're not reading about what they're looking for, they're reading about you. If they like you, they'll keep reading and they'll trust you. If they see that your just a machine spitting out information, they won't come to you. They have to know that your human and that you have a personality. This personality shows in your writing. When you write, your hands write what's in your soul and you write your passion into your articles. This is how the real article marketers make their money. They create an article that is unique and their own work of art. This makes the article good.

So if you want to make a good article, just start writing. Start writing and soon you'll catch onto your writing technique. This technique will bring you to success.

Article Marketing - 6 Easy Steps to Understanding

Article Marketing is an easy, zero cost way to drive targeted traffic to your website and raise your search engine rankings all at the same time.

I use article marketing as my sole source of advertisement and have found it to be wonderful in generating targeted traffic. Visitors to my site are already interested in what I have to say or they would not be there.

It is also the most effective of the zero cost methods used to generate traffic. The only thing that article marketing costs is my time. I have used other free traffic generation methods and have been quite disappointed in them.

The article marketing process is fairly simple and I will explain it to you in 6 easy steps.

1.) Create articles based on the niche you have selected.

2.) Submit your articles to the major article directories.

3.) The article directories publish your articles.

4.) Readers view your article and may use the link you have provided in your resource box to visit your website.

5.) On your website you offer a free product in exchange for your visitor's name and email address. This is done with an autoresponder.

6.) You write more articles the process works again. Meanwhile you are now using the data gathered by your autoresponder to conduct an email marketing campaign.

I could write an entire series of articles or even e-books on each of these steps, but at least you can now see the entire process in a nutshell. There is much more involved but these 6 easy steps are the basis for an entire article marketing business.

What is EMarketing? A New Discipline is Evolving

Before trying to define the term of eMarketing (or electronic marketing, so to speak), we should first take a look at the premises of its apparition and development.

The theories concerning eMarketing have not been unified yet, due to a large diversity in specialists' opinions. Still, one of the aspects that is established and has ceased being discussed in contradictory, is the fact that electronic marketing first appeared under the form of various techniques used by companies distributing their products through online channels (Internet based). That happened back in the pioneering age before 1995. These companies that opened the road were called "e-tailers", as opposed to the traditional retailers (also known as "brick-and-mortar" retailers). During their limited life, these electronic retailers began to develop and frenetically introduced new marketing techniques based on the support offered by the internet.

The online technologies mentioned above developed in the context created by the e-tailers, they are widely used these days by B2C and B2B organizations. In other words, they evolved towards what we call now eMarketing (you can also spell it e-Marketing if you wish, the "e-" stands in both cases for "electronic").

You might find as extremely useful and suggestive the perspective offered by the eMarketing Association (eMA). You heard a lot, especially over the past 2 years, about the decline of online businesses (or the decline of dotcoms), but this temporary difficulty can be viewed as a similarity to the impasse of Columbus during his expedition that made him famous more than half millennium ago. The initial "business plan" with which Columbus started this trip (that of bringing the Asian resources in his country and getting fabulously rich) was a complete disaster: catastrophic estimations, not enough resources allocated, total lack of information upon the environment he will develop his "business" in, but... he discovered America instead and changed the world for ever. In a similar manner, we can say that the dotcoms, despite their terrible strategies (if any), "discovered" by mistake the world of eMarketing.

As we already noticed, defining eMarketing is still highly problematic. Still, what do we mean when we use this term? As many other English words, the term was born by adding the prefix "e-" to a term already known and used, in this case "marketing". The prefix "e-" is actually the extreme contraction of the word "electronic" and is quite omnipresent in todays language of many people: "e-marketing", "e-business", "e-mail", "e-learning", "e-commerce", "e-", "e-", "e-"...

The simplest definition of eMarketing could be that suggested by Mark Sceats: the eMarketing that uses internet as manifestation channel.

A more comprehensive, practical definition is the one formulated by specialists of CISCO company: eMarketing is a generic term utilized for a wide range of activities advertising, customer communications, branding, fidelity programs etc. using the internet. More than the simple development of a website, the eMarketing focuses on online communications, direct dialog with consumers who thus participate to the creation of new products, finding efficient methods to win customer's fidelity and ease their business-making process. eMarketing is the sum of activities a company makes with the purpose of finding, attracting, winning and retaining customers.

At last, for those of you interested in a more scientific approach, we could say that eMarketing allows relational exchanges in digital, networked and interactive environments (acronym: DNI environments). Earlier in the history of eMarketing, it was conceptualized as being focused upon the exchanges, but today's theoreticians suggest the exchange paradigm is a limited modality to define eMarketing.

Whichever definition you will choose to use, will depend on where exactly you need to use it and for what purpose. You can probably formulate a definition yourself, according to your own knowledge, experience and view upon what is eMarketing.

However, one conclusion needs to be drawn in connection with eMarketing: it has developed over the past few years into a standalone discipline, with its own conceptual apparatus, tools and laws, but with a still-to-be systematized knowledge.

Different Strategies in Direct Mail Marketing

Direct mail is an advertising strategy that is very effective and easy to keep track of the success of the marketing campaign. Direct mailing campaigns are much more personal and more targeted as compared to a radio or television advertisement which covers a much more broad area but it is not a focused area. In other words, you might be advertising to a million people but penetrating only 1%. Direct mail postcards have the advantage when it comes to price as they are a lot less expensive but the amount of information that you can put on a postcard is limited so you have to be very selective in your wording and make each word count.

Many direct mail advertisements can be very effective if you follow the rules that have been proven to work such as keeping your message simple yet strong. One way to put a time restraint on your direct mailing is to offer the customer something but make sure that the offer includes an expiration date which forces them to make a move within a specific time frame. Free offers have a tendency to entice customers and make sure that the free offer is clearly visible. If you decide not to use a postcard and instead have chosen a direct mailing in the form of a letter enclosed in an envelope then the free offer should be stated on the outside of the envelope and clearly visible. In the letter itself you need to be sure that you take full advantage of the heading and the first line or two because odds are that is as far as they will read.

Try to use direct mailings in smaller sequences rather than one huge campaign. This way they are easier to keep track of and see your ROI. One thing is certain and that is regardless of which type of direct mailing you opt for you had better make sure that it is attractive and quite an eye catcher. Remember that direct mailing is not going to seal any deals but rather just a step in the right direction towards building the customer relationship, which is where the profit lies. So of course this type of advertising campaign is going to require stringent follow-up. It is very important to make sure before you start mailing anything that you are working from a good list that is updated and current. You can further reduce the costs of direct mailing strategies by merging in on incorporating your direct mail with three of four other businesses. It cuts costs but also reduces your visibility so keep that in mind before you attempt that strategy.

Other forms of direct mail marketing include catalogs, self mailers, poly bag packages, snap mailers, dimensional mailers, and intelligent mailers. These are all options that should be considered when you are planning your direct mail strategies in order to make it successful and prosperous. Weigh out the advantages against the very few disadvantages. The advantages include targeting, personalization, optimization, analysis, and accumulation. Disadvantages include cost, waste, and alienation.

Breakthrough Article Marketing - Latest 5 Big Methods to Excel with Article Marketing

Compare to other paid advertising tools like PPC advertising and banner ads, article marketing can offer you with long term benefits. When you submit your articles to publishing sites, they will be posted there permanently. That means, they can be accessed over and over again and can still bring you quality traffic for many years to come.

1. Kick-start your articles with striking titles. The first step that you need to take in order for your articles to get noticed is to give them titles that can easily grab online users' attention. They must be interesting and intriguing enough to compel people online to invest their time in reading you content.

2. Bank on your first paragraph. Learn how to hold the interest of your readers to make sure that they will not close your articles until they click on your resource box by making your first 100 words interesting and equally attention-grabbing. Spill the most important information on this part and present a "hook" that will lead your readers to read your articles in their entirety.

3. Offer valuable and useful information. To keep your readers satisfied and to increase the chances of your resource box being clicked, make sure that your articles can offer your readers with information that they can use to either resolve their pressing issues or increase their skill level so they will be empowered to do amazing things on their own.

4. Keep your articles short. When writing articles for the web, it is crucial to understand that you are a serving an audience with limited attention span and people who do not have the luxury of time to spend hours reading articles online. Thus, you must strive to keep your articles short so you can offer them the information they need without wasting their precious time. You can cut on the number of your words by not beating around the bush and by eliminating fillers and fancy words from your content.

5. Use a compelling resource box. To end your articles with high note, use an amazing resource box that can easily convince your readers to check on your website. It must contain an exciting elevator pitch and a powerful call to action along with other crucial information.

Amazing Article Marketing - Discover 6 Fast Secrets to Energize Your Article Marketing

If you are currently using article marketing and noticing that your website traffic and your sales potentials are dramatically dropping, I suggest that you energize your marketing efforts to pull up your numbers again. Here's how:

1. Improve on your titles. Make them more attention-grabbing and enticing by using powerful words and key phrases that can effectively push the buttons of your potential clients. Don't forget to communicate the readers' benefits or the reason why online users should check on your content. Keep your titles short but striking.

2. Improve your content. Pack your articles with valuable, detailed, and complete information that will help your readers better understand your topic. Never leave any stone unturned by not assuming on what your potential clients already know. Make your content easy to understand, direct to the point, and highly targeted to your potential clients' needs.

3. Improve your resource box. If your conversation rate is not impressive at all, I'd say rewrite your resource box and make it more powerful and enticing. Aside from your name, your website's URL, and your expertise, don't forget to include the benefits that you can offer to online users when they visit your website. You can lure them with more valuable information or freebies.

4. Write more. Dramatically increase the number of your inbound links by multiplying the number of your submission. Strive to write at least 5-7 articles per day or hire ghostwriters who can provide you with quality articles for reasonable prices.

5. Widely distribute your articles. Aside from article submission sites, you can also post your articles to your website, blog, forums, and social networking sites to increase their exposure online.

6. Check your progress. Consistently check your click through rate and how your articles are performing online. Continuously improve on them until you reach your goals.

Marketing Moves On The Internet

Companies are having to think out new marketing strategies in the modern era of the Internet. The way data is collected and analysed is also changing.

There are two general categories of market research information, as discussed here.

Primary data

This is data collected by the firm itself. Its purpose is to investigate a particular issue or solve a specific problem. The way the data is gathered might be by survey, or by observation, or even by an experiment.

With the Internet this information can be collected in new ways. Surveys can now be carried out online, and there are companies who help to create surveys and link them to hosting websites.

Primary data collected in this way can be either quantitative or qualitative.

Quantitative data comes from structured questions which the respondent replies to by giving a reply, for example, from 1 to 5. With these type of responses the data can be used to come up with percentages, averages and similar statistics. Survey creation websites enable users to create their own online surveys - a service that generates and tabulates quantitative data. The data can be viewed via the service provider's website to give instant, real-time analysis of the responses. This makes it a great tool with fast, useable data. Remember high street, mailed or telephone surveys? They just can't compete in terms of speed of response!

Qualitative data differs in that it tends towards longer answers and discussions. These come from open-ended questions which may, for example, be asked in focus groups. Companies use data within discussion groups to formulate their qualitative survey data. Focus groups can be exactly that - groups that focus and concentrate one aspect of the company's services or products.

Secondary data

This is data which has been collected by other organisations. Simple examples of secondary data are information that can be found in a library, or data accessible on databases on the Internet. There are a wide variety of types of secondary data which firms can use to analyse their customers and their competitors.

One example of secondary data is demographic data. Basically, demographics are the characteristics of a pre-defined population. Examples of these characteristics include sex, age, income, occupation, education and household size. These demographic dimensions of the general population are analysed by marketing specialists to group potential customers that are most likely to benefit from their product-line. This kind of data and analysis enables companies to better target their own markets and not waste marketing effort and material on people who would never be interested in their products or services.

Periodical articles are another great source of data, giving information on products, marketing, and different industries. Periodicals can be any magazines, journals or newspapers. Studying these can give you clues as to things like how your particular industry been making the news. You can discover which brand names are succeeding and you might be able to work out why. You might also be able to see what new marketing tactics have been put into use by your competitors. It is worth studying periodicals for your industry to see what the outlook is like for the future. All this is very useful data for marketing.

The traditional marketing mix is product, place, promotion, price. The Internet is certainly changing place, if not the others.

On the Internet there are a great deal of worthwhile marketing-related sites that will help you with your marketing push. There are a number of companies who can help you with the kind of data you need - both primary and secondary data and a mix of the two. This helps you to target your marketing effort and thereby save money.

As with periodicals, study websites giving news about your industry. What clues are there as to what other companies are doing? Look at the websites of your customers. What is the look and feel of the successful brands? What marketing tactics can you see that they are using? Which ones appear to work?

There are a lot of marketing opportunities on the new world of the Internet. Here are a few examples:

* Partnerships
* Affiliate marketing
* Website links
* Forums
* Networking websites

The last one is particularly interesting. The boom of social networking websites such as MySpace and Facebook is causing companies to have serious strategic re-thinks. Where they might previously have banned their employees from going on such sites, many now encourage it so that the company name, brand names, product or service type gets to be well-known. There are also a number of networking sites more aligned to business activity - such as Ecademy and LinkedIn. However, one problem with those is that they are full of people who are selling and not overloaded with people who are buying. Social networking sites may just have more buyers, but targeting is not easy when you're in such a populated Internet world!

Bum Marketing Method Exposed - Why I Market Exclusively With Articles Part 1

I am going to try and keep this series of articles straight to the point as I will try to give you a very simple and proven plan that you can use right away to start generating profits from your home internet business using the bum marketing method.

However, be advised as there will be some work involved. Like anything in life you reap what you sow. Most people make the common mistake when they start a home based internet business of mainly doing research. To succeed you need to use a system that works and then take massive action. So by not taking any action even if their website is not perfect they ultimately set themselves up for failure.

At this point you may question me and ask can I really be successful with this system? Well this is my own unique system that I am personally using so that I know it works. I am sure that you must have read plenty of adverts by now promising instant riches. Well I am sorry to disappoint you as this system will not provide instant riches. However, if you follow it you will build a stable internet business with hard work that can become lucrative if you are persistent and have an entrepreneurial mindset. So just remember that all you need is time and massive effort to succeed using bum marketing.

The very first step is just to get going using this proven bum marketing method. Most people have a mental barrier about succeeding online. Once you put in some work and you earn your first few dollars you will realize that success is possible. This will allow you to focus more and achieve better results.

Usually people who fail with internet marketing have actually never had any tangible success. That is the main reason they give up as they think of it as an impossible dream.

I am really a bit introverted so running a business where I need to call people or sit in a shop really does not appeal to me. I once tried face to face selling and I absolutely hated it. I think that is why most people fail in network marketing as nobody likes rejection.

So with this system of bum marketing it entails mainly communicating or writing and thinking like an entrepreneur. You can start off by recommending products as an affiliate marketer using a system like Clickbank to earn commissions. Once you start seeing results you can also develop your own unique products.

Here's your chance to drive massive traffic to your web site:
