Remember how YouTube came along and just took over in a such short period of time?

Wouldn't it have been great to be on the ground floor of YouTube?

Now you have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of what I'm calling YouTube for article writers, authors and entrepreneurs. It's called Free IQ - The Marketplace for Ideas. I just found out about it a few weeks ago and already have several audios, articles e-books up, and will probably have more things up by the time you read this.

Advantages of Free IQ

Brad Fallon and crew have come up with a great idea over at Free IQ. There are several great advantages with Free IQ -

  • You can put up video, audio, and the written word in pdf form.
  • You can offer it for fr'ee AND you can charge for it!
  • And it's still in beta testing so you can get started before it is even launched!
The pdf converter I use is Adobe Acrobat. Now that is a fairly expensive piece of software. The last time I checked in the stores, it was over $300. When I bought mine 3 years ago, I got it on eBay for $82. This is a nice insider tip for you - when you want to buy a piece of software, check eBay first.

You can get a fr'ee pdf converter at pdf995.com

Think about it - you can use video, audio and text to market your services to the world.

I recommend that you check it out.

Have you ever in the past been searching the web and entered a site only to realize that you have in actual fact seen the information or products somewhere else? The likelihood of this great, as there are so many entrepreneurs believing that by them selling other people's items, will achieve success. However, in order to have true success with internet marketing, then it is time to start promoting your own information, services or products.

A prime example of websites copying each other is introduction products. Several information products exist that one person has created. That person then proceeds to make money by having hundreds of other individuals promoting their product. But how is promoting someone else's product beneficial to you?

Taking another persons work, that you had absolutely no say in, is a difficult task. The idea was not created by you. You are simply promoting something that someone else has taken the time of develop. While creating your own information product is not a simple thing to do, you will discover that it is in fact much more difficult to promote someone else's product.

The sales of e-books and articles are exactly the same. If success by selling these is what you are looking for, then it is advised to take your time and create your own. Internet marketing has become extremely competitive with literally hundreds of websites and entrepreneurs emerging on a daily basis. In simple terms, you are lowering yourself to the same level as thousands of your competitors by promoting someone else's e-book.

If creating an e-book is something that you can do yourself, then you will have had an idea that no one else has on the internet. The promotion of your personal ideas and tips to receiving success with the internet or whatever niche you choose, can be done proudly. You can completely separate yourself from competition by promoting something that you have created. Despite the obvious reasons for promoting your own products, it remains confusing as to why so few people do it.

All of the top internet marketers have the same thing in common, and that is that each and every one of them has created their own website, along with their own product, e-book, or whatever else they could think of in order to separate themselves from the competition.

There is no secret behind the fact that internet marketing will only make you successful because of you and what you put into it. While ideas can be received from others, or you can research the internet to see what the best did in order to achieve success with their products, it all returns back to what you can personally create. If fresh and enticing ideas can be created by yourself and you can promote them through information products or e-books, then you will certainly achieve success with internet marketing.

Should your online articles have a lot of content or be thinly written? Many online articles authors are upset that other others write trite thinly written articles and these critics of short articles do indeed make a very good point indeed. This is problematic and troubling and they have a right to be a little frustrated over this issue.

One thing I find interesting is the number of business articles that are written by folks who have never really done anything in business and yet write articles as if they know everything about business. It seems that just because someone can write a decent article with good sentence structure, does not necessarily make them a knowledge based authority or expert. Just because an author writes a good grammatically correct article does not mean they know what they are talking about.

When we talk about reader perception of an author's credentials, it seems we ought to also talk about deception, trickery or even questionable marketing ploys as well. You see just because someone has a degree in business, well it is not the same as winning in the free-market. If one can only succeed on the key board should they be allowed to give advice as if reality based to those who are searching for real answers?

Another point, I would like to make about the online article author critic's astute observation is this; often online article writer's write thin content as to not give away too much, only enough to entice the reader to click to their website. This has also been recommended in the many eBooks on Online Article Marketing and this constitutes a "Catch 22" for some authors and they will need to work this out for themselves?

Do they write thinly done articles with minimal content, just enough to wet the appetite or do they go full on and write one of my 1500 word articles and explain everything in depth. Having written many of both types for various reasons, this might also become part of this conversation between article authors and their critics in upcoming dialogues?

And also as part of the conversation, where is that line to be drawn. I mean I can probably write an entire eBook on just about any subject I have 10 or more articles in or one or more white papers on half of those categories. Yet, this is an article submission site? And the critics you have to admit bring up a really good point. Everyone wants to be thin, but is it unhealthy for your online article marketing endeavors to be too thin or too rich in content? You decide.

Online marketing starts with your website

Internet marketing allows you to reach a global audience. Internet marketing is marketing your business online. Online marketing starts with your website; make sure its attractive and easy to use. When they need information, modern-day consumers turn first to the Internet. All of your online marketing will make sure they will find

If you have tried writing articles and just didn't get the results you expected, add some of these high-performance tips for better results.

The first step in writing a high-performance article is writing a headline that captures the readers attention. Use words in your title that create curiosity and interest. I often use an online thesaurus for generating word ideas.

The next step is to keep your article's content consistent with title of article. One mistake article writer's often make is writing content that doesn't match the article title. If title of the article is about dog training tips and you then spend the article discussing the joys of having a dog, there is a good chance you will lose your reader before they finish the article. A key point is to stay focused on the main subject for your article.

I know it may sound silly but make sure you provide useful information. Often times I will start reading an article and quickly find the article isn't telling me anything useful and go on to the next article. It's important you provide useful information to your reader so they will continue to read the article.

Keep sentences short and clearly written. Hard to understand sentences will lose readers quickly. If in doubt, be sure to edit the sentence so it is easier to read.

Write personally. Use a personal tone when writing your article. Let your reader get to see your personality whenever possible. Just don't over do it.

Determine the goal for your article. As an article writer, you need to determine your purpose for the article. Is the goal to start building a relationship with your reader? Is is to have the reader sign-up for a newsletter? Determining the article's goal will help you craft your message in the article so you get a better end result.

In closing, I hope you find these high-performance tips useful. Article Marketing can be a powerful marketing tool if used correctly.
